Budapest raised the bar high in 2017. That was the last time the capital organized rhythmic gymnastics European Championships. President of the Hungarian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation says that they are aspiring to reach the same quality now as well.
“The organizers, the federation are in preparation for the European Championships just like the competitors. I used to say if we are doing just as much work as the members of the national team during training then there will be no problem. All delegation were leaving Budapest contentedly in 2017. The atmosphere was fantastic and the spectators could see a high quality competition. We are aiming to make this 2024 European Championship an unforgettable one to everybody.” – summed up György Bencze, President of the Hungarian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation.
The 40th Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championship will be held between the 22nd and 26th of May at Papp Laszlo Budapest Sportarena in organization of Hungarian Gymnastics Federation (MATSZ), Hungarian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation (MRGSZ), State Secretariat for Sports in the Ministry of Defence and National Event Organizing Agency (NRÜ).
