The Organising Committee for the 2024 European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships meets weekly to ensure the perfect realisation of the event. The meeting on 13 February was attended by the Presidium of the three main national organisers, including Ádám Schmidt, State Secretary for Sport, Mátyás Falvai, CEO of the National Event Organisation Agency, and Zoltán Magyar, President of the Hungarian Gymnastics Federation.
Dr. Zoltán Magyar, President of the Hungarian Gymnastics Federation, highlighted:
“I am very happy that we are organising the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Hungary again, which is also the last qualification event before the Paris Olympics. I am also confident that the organising team will perform as successful as back in 2017 at the European Championships, and that the Hungarian girls will have a chance to fight for the team quota, in addition to the Hungarian quota won by Fanni Pigniczki in the individual competition.”
At the operational meeting, the organisers also agreed on the details of communication, ticketing and event management. They also agreed that press representatives will have until 12 May to apply for press accreditation for the tournament. The event revealed that the public draw for the tournament will take place on 29 February. This will reveal which competitors will compete in which groups, and when we should be excited for the Hungarian team and individual competitors.
